just so I can find my place. I want this roadtrip to happen so badly, I want to be on the road with some of my favorite people, some of my best friends. It was a love that brought us together, and it’s luck that got us to where we are today. I’d be a complete wreck without them, and I’ll be completely put together when we’re all finally together. On the road. Blasting FTSK and ATL, driving from one state to the next. Coffee highs and cute out of state boys? what else could go wrong.
Oh man, it was amazing.
It’s crazy how someone you’ve never met before can be one of your best friends.
This weekend was seriously like the best weekend ever.
peace, sarah. i’ll have pictures up later (:
Amanda here.
So, it’s 1 in the morning. I generally stay up later than this, but lately I’ve been falling asleep at 11ish.
I just can’t seem to fall asleep. I’m stuck in this cycle where I start to fall asleep, but I start thinking about Bamboozle & the trip & that wakes me up…then I start to fall asleep again but I start thinking about Bamboozle & the trip.
It’s not helpful at all.
However - It’s exactly 30 days until I see Sarah. 31 days until Bamboozle. We’re huntin’ for redheads. I’ve had to seriously restrain myself from planning out every little minute detail 98,327,419 months ahead of time because I’m so excited. However, I’ve made so many lists, it’s insane. I’m going to be killing so, so many trees as my excitment grows.
I’m gonna go try to sleep.

Until Amanda and I (Sarah) get to hang out and go see The Cab/Ftsk/WTK together. :D
Amanda bought her ticket for Bamboozle today!
TWO MONTHS FROM THIS WEDNESDAY, I’M GOING TO BE MEETING AND HANGING OUT WITH AMANDA.
Let me make this clear: we’ve never met. But she’s probably one of my best friends—we have so much in common, we’re as close as one can get through the internet and through the phone. She knows so much about me and I trust her.
In two months, expect tons (literally…tons.) of pictures, videos, live blogs, phone blogging, the redhead hunt, the cab, me probably crying at meeting caleb turman…you know.
It’s all starting. That’s what matters.
April 24th.
the beginning of everything is going to start april 24th: we have a new part to this trip where we’re all going to try meet before we all decide to get in the car together and drive away.
Sarah and I are meeting on april 23rd. april 24th, we’re taking a 2 hour roadtrip to cleveland’s h.o.b. for Bamboozle Roadshow.
As we were discussing our plans for the trip, Sarah came up with the idea for each of us to try to take mini-roadtrips to visit each other. As we each embark on the various little trips, we would all post our various pictures, videos & funny stories until that summer gets here.
We also began to lay the foundation for the actual drive. Alot of this is subject to change, based on various opinions, but we realized Indy is the farthest city West, so Indianapolis could be our base point. Leave Indianapolis traveling down I-70, hit up St. Louis (free food & beds!) and then head down Route 66 from there. We want a 15 passenger van, so we’ll have enough room for everything we’d take with us…we just gotta find a 15 passenger van :]

basically, the gist of this trip is:
we want to travel the states. hippie-style. well, sort of. but we’re gonna live out of a van. and alternate drivers. midwest to coast, and then back.
we’re gonna catalogue the whole thing. sneaking into swimming pools, crowding into a starbucks to charge our laptops and get some much needed caffeine, random trips to the supermarket to get some food.
needless to say, we’ll probably all be about fifty pounds underweight by the time we get back.
we want to find ourselves. learn about others. this is going to be one of those trips that, if we see something we like, we’re gonna stop and look at it. maybe we’ll see some big concert randomly on the side of the road, and we’ll have to stop to take a look at it.
it’s a learning experience. i feel like it’s a movie of some sort, but we’re going to document every moment of it.
you’ll be with us the whole way. we have two years to plan. help us plan this thing.
we want you to be a part of it.
I’m sure as hell the happiest I’ve ever been.
